Page-O-Meter, GOOD HUSBAND MATERIAL: 171/250, 68.4%(No change from yesterday)
I've been a member of a critique group for more than twenty years. Not the same group the whole time. I had one in Kansas City that morphed a bit. I've belonged to at least two different ones in Dallas. But the one I'm in now has been pretty steady for several years.
The deal is, we've stopped critiquing. We eat lunch at a nice restaurant every week, then we got to coffee when we are supposed to critique but we don't. We all have fun, but I think everyone was getting a bit restless. We were finding reasons not to go
So we made a big decision. We're returning to critiquing. We'll meet every two weeks at Vicki's house, and afterward whoever wants to go to lunch can go. On opposite weeks, we'll meet just for coffee. I'm excited to return to critiquing, particularly because I'm getting ready to focus in on my "big book" (nonHarlequin) for awhile.
Wishcraft was fun and productive, and for once Becky and I weren't late meeting the others for lunch. We went to Jasper's to celebrate Vicki's birthday. That is a really fabulous restaurant. Vicki ordered their Maytag Bleu Cheese potato chips. Oh, Lord, they are SINFUL.
I was kinda worthless the rest of the day. I didn't write at all. I did watch the Tour of California recap (no change in the overall standings) and rode my trainer. I also worked on a new column for Romancing the Blog, which will appear ... Sunday, I think.
I'm on my last Rita book!
Thanks for reading,
Kara
