Past Page 200!

GOOD HUSBAND MATERIAL Page-O-Meter: 201/250, 80.4%

I'm on the home stretch now. Even if I am going to have to go back and revise the heck out of this thing.

Today was a good writing day. But when you're writing 15 pages a day, there's not room for much else. I squeezed in a walk to the library. Then there was Date Night. We went to one of the fancier Mexican restaurants in our neighborhood, El Ranchito. We haven't been there in a very long time.

I got some very exciting news today. Longtime friend Nancy Haddock sold her first book (actually a multi-book contract) to Berkley. Nancy has been writing for something like 23 years. I've known her since at least 1989--I think we first met at the National RWA meeting in Boston. She never gave up. She continued to pursue writing with enthusiasm and optimism. She always gives generously of her time. She's really an inspiration to writers everywhere.

No big surprises during the bike race today. Levi Leipheimer won the time trial and increased his lead over the pack. My man Fabian Cancellara did respectably, coming in 4th. All in all, though, Team Discovery is looking good. I heard Discovery Channel is not renewing their sponsorship of the team next year. Bummer.

Have a great weekend,

Kara
