A Night in the Heights

Our neighborhood had its annual progressive dinner, "A Night in the Heights," where we feature three houses and the foods and beverages from three different countries. This year it was Spain, India and Ireland. We all get issued "passports" which are stamped at the door of each house. (The stamps are quite authentic-looking).

About 175 people showed up. I indulged in frozen sangria, Fisherking beer and Irish whiskey. Which is why I did not blog last night. (The food was good, too.) I wish I had a picture of the day but my camera batteries are defunct and I don't have any new ones.

Wrote two pages yesterday. Not a stellar performance!

But I did get out and vote (for mayor and our city council person). I hear there's now a run-off for both positions.

Hope you're having a nice weekend,

Kara
