I have another contest! This time I'm giving away some fun stuff for the beach, including a copy of my latest book, A SECOND CHANCE, and another book as well. If you'd like to enter, it's easy. Just go to my website (http://www.karalennox.com/) and click the contest link.
Today I did some decluttering. Not for myself, but my sister. The last time I was over at her house I was appalled at how messy everything was. (And, hey, my standards are pretty low.) She's been very busy being a Mary Kay lady and her inventory is all over the house. So I volunteered to help her shovel out from under the mess, and she takes me up on the offer! Imagine that!
I didn't really do very much except offer my moral support. But we worked a couple of hours and got her living room cleared so at least people can sit on the furniture! We recycled a bunch of stuff and threw away junk and filled a couple of boxes for charity.
When I came home, Rob and I walked to the Kidd Springs park, and I saw a new bird--an Eastern Kingbird. He's a pretty little guy, almost navy blue on his back. (Rob spotted him. I'd have walked right past him, merrily unaware.) We also saw some weird ducks and geese, but since I can't find them in the field guide, I'm assuming they're just weird varieties of domestic ducks and geese.
Tonight we watched Serenity, the movie based on the TV show "Firefly." It was pretty good. Great writing, great plotting, lots of unexpected twists and turns.
Thanks for visiting,
Kara
