Talent?

Maybe you feel you simply weren't born with enough talent. And I'll be the first to agree that a few people--a very few--are born with some innate quality that renders them truly gifted.

But there are plenty of people who succeeded on only average talent. You could probably name a dozen right now if you put your mind to it--singers with average voices, writers who are only average wordsmiths, politicians (not naming any names here!) with only average smarts.

Just keep in mind: if they an do it, anyone can. But if you really feel that your abilities in your chosen field to success aren't up to par, do something about it. Take classes. Study. Practice. Ask experts for advice. Get constructive criticism. In five years you can get good at almost anything.

"Genius is one percent inspiration and ninety-nine percent perspiration. Great accomplishments depend not so much on ingenuity as on hard work." --Thomas Edison, American inventor
