An Eclectic Day

Writing, birds, yoga and zucchini. That pretty much sums it up.

I finished the boat proposal (just polishing today) and sent it off to Rob for his feedback. He is in really boring meetings during which a large group of people representing dozens of different companies have to cooperatively edit a 1300-page document. (Well, something like that.) During his breaks he edits and critiques his own work as well as mine, if I send him something.

I also managed to write 10 pages on the MOB book, yay. I'm so glad to be back working on that. My plan is to finish up the first draft on this book while I'm waiting to hear back from Harlequin. I thought I was going to write a love scene today, but them my characters surprised me by not having sex. I guess they weren't ready, LOL.

I saw lots of nice birds today, nothing new, but the Carolina wrens are hanging around and I think they might have a nest somewhere behind my shed. I saw two of them dart back there in a sneaky sort of way, then I heard some baby-bird-eating sorts of peeps. The birds were active today with the cooler weather. Watching them during lunch was a pleasure--they were everywhere.

Later I went to my yoga class (Whew! Quite a workout today.) then came home and tried a new recipe, a breaded zucchini that's sort of half-baked, half fried. You use only a little oil, get it started in the skillet, then pop the skillet in the oven. The coating is egg whites, breadcrumbs and romano cheese. The end result was pretty darn tasty.

And that's been my day! Thanks for letting me share it.

Kara
