What is it with the reptiles?

Yesterday it was a snake, today it was a ghecko, snoozing on the outdoor fawcet handle. I went to turn on the hose to fill the birdbath and there he was. If I hadn't been watching closely I could have squashed him. I had to prod him with a fingernail to get him to move on. Maybe these guys are just coming out of hibernation and they're still groggy, but it's a good thing I'm not a reptile-eating predator.

I did another hundred pages of polishing today. And I cleaned the bathroom. I do mean clean, hands-and-knees scrubbing every corner clean. Rob mowed the lawn and did some vacuuming. I think it was a fair trade-off.

My online class I'm teaching seems a bit slow. I'm getting very little in the way of participation. I'm sure it's my fault--I don't have the knack for drawing people in, and this isn't the sort of class where people do assignments. But I was hoping for more questions and instead I'm getting this colossal silence. Oh, well, I can only give it my best.

Not much else going on. I made tax and doctor appointments, and did a critique. I won't even tell you what I had for dinner--too disgusting. But it involved the initials L.D.

Thanks for stopping by,
Kara
