Finished Rita Books

GOOD HUSBAND MATERIAL Page-O-Meter: 223/250, or 89.2%
In a mad dash to the finish line, I read the last half of my last Rita book today. I'm done! I can scratch something off my list this week.

Other than reading, writing and walking, I didn't do much of anything else today. The bird activity in the back yard wasn't nearly as exciting as yesterday. But I did spot some courting behavior going on among the doves, and a couple of robins were scoping out nesting sites. A pair of red-bellied woodpeckers, too, seem to be hanging around one particular tree, so I'm guessing there's a nest in the offing. Saw only a brief glimpse of the goldfinches, but I heard a mysterious warble that I couldn't identify.

Ah, the glamorous life of a writer. This is it, kids, most days! Writing and mundane stuff. Not even a phone call to break the monotony (except taking messages for Rob, who has a much more interesting life than me). Tomorrow I'm going to my friend Jane Graves' house so she can show me how to use Swishmax to make flash movies. Just what I need, another hobby to get obsessed about!

Thanks for stopping by,

Kara
