Didn't do the bike rally

It was pouring down rain early this morning so we blew off the bike race we were planning to ride in. It probably would have been fine--rain was gone by 8 a.m., start of the race. But I'm not sure I would have gotten up for it anyway. I haven't been getting enough sleep lately--staying up too late, and getting woke up by storms and cats and such.

So what did I do today? Er, I tried a new recipe, a casserole with rice, cheese and bell peppers. It was just okay. I'm going to try it with some other vegetable--the peppers were a bit much. I took a walk. Oh, I finally took my new website live. Granted, it looks just like the old website. But it's in a new place. I checked in on the owls several times. It appears the nest has been abandoned--Mrs. Owl hasn't been seen or heard in two days, due to a lot of disturbance near the nest. We're hoping she'll decide to come back and try again. Probably the current clutch of three eggs is doomed, but she could lay more. I watched my own birds, too. We had quite a crowd in the back yard today.

Yeah, I guess I was pretty much a bum today. And it's not even nine o'clock, but I'm going to bed and try to finish my book. (The one I'm reading.) HEARTSTOPPER by Joy Fielding. Pretty good. I hope that tomorrow I will have more energy.

Hope you're having a great weekend,
Kara
