Cell Phone Troubles

Our new phones arrived today. They came in separate packages. One of them (Rob's, the blue one) seemed fine. The other arrived in a box soaked with gasoline, smushed, and taped up after obviously having been opened. Strangely, when I opened it, the contents seemed fine, no damage--except the phone was not the pink one I ordered but another blue one.

I spent most of the afternoon straightening out the mess. I have to say the Sprint people were more than gracious, though we went round and round about how much my new plan is. I was quoted one number over the phone, and now they were telling me it was a LOT higher. But they made everything right in the end. We'll see if I ever get my pink phone! Meanwhile I've been playing with Rob's. He now has some rather interesting memos and tasks, a sexy-voiced voice-mail recording, wallpaper and ringers. (He TOLD me to set everything up for him!) When he takes a picture, instead of making a shutter noise, the camera says "Say Cheese!"

I did get some work done today. I'm proofreading galleys for my February '08 book, GOOD HUSBAND MATERIAL. I got more than half done today, so that's not so bad. Took a nice long walk (in the rain!), had Mexican food for date night and went to Lowe's to buy suet for the birds and citronella candles.

Thanks for stopping by,
Kara
