More Good News!

A couple of weeks ago I was surprised and pleased that UNDER DEEPEST COVER, my Silhouette Desire from last July, was a finalist in the HOLT Medallion contest. Today I was just downright shocked that the same book also finaled in the National Reader's Choice Award contest. Wow. I'm gobsmacked, as my English friends say.
I've had books final in each of these contests before, but never have I had one book final in both. I guess I should thank my former editor Melissa Jeglinski who invited me to participate in The Elliotts continuity series and pretty much gave me the plot and characters.
I've been working all day on my handouts for the two workshops I'm doing at National RWA. I really want handouts that are useful, that people will tear out of the book, keep, and refer to. So I put a lot of thought into them.
I also went for a long walk. Rob and I checked out an urban nature trail we read about recently. We didn't actually walk the trail, we just located where it starts. I'm going to go birdwatching there next Sunday.
Tonight I'm becoming a redhead again. It's a lot of work being glamorous.
Thanks for reading,
Kara
