I just plum forgot to blog yesterday, but I have an excuse: I spent all day yesterday working on my taxes. All day. You see, all year long, I use the shoebox method of bookkeeping. I throw anything that's remotely related to taxes into a box. Then, one day before my appointment with the CPA, I spend many agonizing hours sorting and organizing and punching the calculator until my fingers are raw. Every year I swear I'm going to create a spreadsheet and keep records like a grown-up, and every year I don't.
Anyway, that's why I didn't blog yesterday, and what would I have blogged about? My fascinating tax deductions?
Today I at least drove up to Plano to visit my CPA and her adorable dog, Tucker, whose picture is on my website today (www.karalennox.com). After lunch, Rob and I took a nice long walk down Jefferson to the petstore, looking for some toys to hang in Da Vinci's cage. He's been gnawing on himself lately and I think he's bored. The petstore had no toys but we talked to the parrots and puppies for a while.
I finally am back at work on TAKING DOWN THE DEVIL, doing what I hope is my final read-through. I made it to page 127, or about 1/3 of the way through. I might be able to finish tomorrow, if I apply myself.
Thanks for stopping by,
Kara
