Can't seem to wrap this up!

I'm still doing a bit of research for my book, some things having to do with serial killers, profilers, police procedure, etc. I'm re-reading two books by John Douglas. One thing I found very interesting is that he outlined an unsolved case, but he fictionalized it (because it was pending) and published his profile of the UNSUB (as the FBI call their unknown suspects).

As soon as I started reading it, I realized it was the BTK murders, though he had changed all the names of the victims, the city, and nowhere did he mention "BTK." Which causes me to wonder--do I know a bit too much about serial killers? As you probably know, the BTK murders have been solved. When I have more time I'm going to go back and compare his profile with the real murderer and see how accurate it was.

Rob and I walked to the libary and the post office. For Date Night we tried a new Mexican restaurant. It recently opened in the space occupied by Loretta's, which was one of the few non-Mexican restaurants in the neighborhood, but one we didn't care much for, so it didn't break our hearts when it closed. This place was really nice--a step up from most of the "taquerias" in our neighborhood, offering more than plain ol' Tex-Mex. The service was extremely attentive. But I think we'll probably go back. For one thing, it is less than two blocks from our house!

That is all I have to report. Tomorrow I'm thinking I'll paint my cupboards, which have been sitting empty and unused for weeks, ever since the carpenter finished them, because I haven't had the time or energy to paint them.

Have a great weekend,
Kara
