Aim High, Shoot Straight

That is the title of my "Goals" workshop that I gave for the North Texas Romance Writers of America today. This is actually the first workshop I ever put together, almost twenty years ago. I made the rounds with it back then and retired it, but recently I resurrected it. I imagine my presentation skills are better than they were way back when!

Anyway, it was fun seeing some old friends and making new.

That took a good bit of the day, and when I came home, I was so exhausted I just crashed. It's been a crazy week, but I hope I will have a bit of breathing room now to finish up my book.
I put out fresh thistle and peanut-flavored suet nuggets for the birds, but so far no takers. Birds are a suspicious lot. If I change anything in the yard, even something small, it will take them a day or two to trust that it's not a trap.

I made salmon patties for dinner. They were really, really good and we snarfed them all up. (I never seem to have much in the way of leftovers.) Then I watched an interesting program on UFOs while folding laundry and cleaning the kitchen during commercials.

Tomorrow is Norma's day--yay!

Thanks for visiting,

Kara
